SPM says it's all about Will for Enduro Gold
Saturday 16 August 2008
In their quest for championship glory in season 2008, Sydney Performance Motorsport (SPM) today announced it has signed Will Davidson to replace the recently released Todd Kelly.
Currenly in a tight tussle at the top of the teams ladder, Team Manager, Nick Henderson says that the addition of Davidson to the team, especially right before the enduros, is a sign that SPM are serious about being at the top of the podium this year and will do whatever it takes to get there.
"Will is a fantastic acquistion to the team and we hope he can, along with Lee and Tony, continue to build on the success we have had so far in season 2008," said Mr Henderson.
"We realise that the enduros are going to be a really tough campaign and we need to keep on our game if we want any hope of being there at the end of the season. Hopefully with this team, we can match it with the best and go for enduro glory at Philip Island and Bathurst."
"The car is there, the drivers are now set, so it's all about putting it together, which is coming along nicely and will hopefully be shown to our fans at the L&H 500," Mr Henderson said.
Along with the announcement of Davidson as their new driver, SPM also revealed a new livery for the rest of the 2008 season following the re-branding of their major sponsor Sony Central to Sony Centre.
