Official Mark Webber thread Just qualified 7th at Belgian GP. He's continuing to impress me more and more this year. I have always held Webber in high regard, so many people put him down as an average driver, but he does a fantastic job with what he is given. Look at his team mate, the experienced David Coulthard. Mark can manage to squeeze out 7 positions more of pace than his team mate. Ahead of him are the two unstoppable teams, a champion and another fast car/driver in Heidfeld. In the championship he is equal with Alonso - past champion and driving a Renault!! (God knows whats happened to their pace) Mark Webber is a quality driver of the highest order. Hopefully Red Bull can continue to improve their cars. Good luck to Mark for the GP tomorrow, hopefully he can stick it out and bring back some more points.

I reckon that if Webber was in a Ferrari or a Mclaren this season, he would be battling for the championship. But still, hes doing an awesome job at RBR. At least he has got a car which doesnt blow up every time you start it up ;D

Poor Webber. Bloody Kovalainen, that was a stupid move. His car was 100x faster, why the hell did he try to rush an impossible move. He nearly got back into the points too, if only he put wets on for that last lap. By the way, sucked in Raikkonen

Correction: Glock copped a time penalty, so Webber ended up 8th and grabbed a point

The funny thing is that Webber had an offer to go to Renault after his stint at Jaguar in 2005 (Note this was the 1st year of Renault domination), but chose to go to Williams instead. Imagine the possibilities if he had chosen the right team...

how about that? 3rd at Monza in horrible wet conditions. Awesome stuff by Webber. Also great to see both STR cars up the top, and congrats to Vettel on pole... was bound to happen sooner or later.

Wow now that's the sort of grid I want to see in F1!
Douse every track from now on in water before the race! Imagine what a fantastic series F1 would be if it was closer, if it rained every week.
Again it shows Webbers quality, great job, hopefully he can keep it together in the race. Go Red Bulls for 1-2-3!!

What a race! ;D Gooo Vettel! What a champ. I tells ya, only hold F1 races when it rains, it's garunteed excitement and variety! Hard luck for Webber, had solid pace but that spin and a bad strategy threw him backwards. Also Hamilton forcing him out of the way didn't help Still, picked up a point to continue his slow accumulation

Its ok for him to force his way through everyone but when the tables turn he forces people of the road to stop them. Anyway, go Vettel! Awesome stuff.

Get a decent bloody engine in an impressive Adrian Newey chassis ( torro roso ) in at RBR like a BMW or Mercedes and watch Webber go, once again he is doing much better with inferior equiptment than he should.
Great to see Torro rosso ( Minardi ) do so well with a true talent in Vettel behind the wheel.
Send the Ferrari engine to RBR with vettel next season Berger hahaha.
